Get online at Silver Surfers' Day
Silver Surfers' Day is a chance for people over 50 to find out more about computing and the internet, and to get help with getting online. This year the day will be held on Friday 23 May as part of Adult Learners’ Week.
There will be events all over the country, in libraries, community groups, charities, faith groups, schools, offices, people’s homes and more. Events are free or very low cost for anyone over 50. They are usually short, one-to-one 'taster sessions' that last 15 to 30 minutes.
Participants do not need any experience of using computers to take part, there will be people there to advise and help. There are also events for people over 50 who are already confident computer-users and want to develop their skills.
